The "Glamorous Toolkit" (imo could use a better name) is something I've been following for a while.
They've built on Pharo (closest thing to a "modern" Smalltalk), and as this article demonstrates, it has a mind-bogglingly varied set of use cases.
It comes close to being "a bicycle for the mind".
