I saw this for the first time 15 years or so ago, but the sheer shock -- of trying to reconcile what I was watching with the current time and when it was made, and everything happening at that time, and everything that happened since, and so on -- is still fresh.
Recommend watching this once, if you can.
If only to realize how impressive "sci fi" movies were a hundred years ago.
And what the future looked like then.
And that progress, in film, or technology, may not always be linear.
