Journaling
I'll need a long post to talk about how I first (and finally) got started with writing some sort of daily log (will write that someday).
This practice migrated through various tools, until I decided that writing on paper was really better (I had been brain-dumping on paper for several years already).
Travelers
I went through a Hobonichi and a couple others, before settling on a system of "inserts" within the Travelers' Notebook.
I’ve had this for a while now, and use it more as a journal, with a daily and weekly logging routine.
However, nothing is perfect, and feeling some friction, I was going to move away from this, but as is the case with all systems, suddenly starting over is more friction.
So, I refactored it for now, with an intention to stick around for another quarter, and will revisit for 2026.

This is the current spread (showing blank inner pages instead of the filled-in words, since I'm too lazy to figure out how to block them out, will let you imagine words on them)

General comments
It's a good pluggable, customizable system, and also comes in a "Passport" size if you prefer that.
I'll re-evaluate my overall notebook-scene for next year.
I'm thinking about (1) combining the 'brain dump notebook' (I use the dot-grid above at times, but the main location for this is a Midori MD A5) with this, and (2) having some sort of 'monthly' view without cramping the other ones.
Some new A5-form journal might be in the works, we'll see; until then, this is a good long-lasting way of having a flexible set of notebooks by your side, and I'd easily recommend it.
