On Work

I sometimes say "I want to work till I die", and people take it to mean that I want to "hustle forever" or "be a wage slave forever" etc.

This is, of course, not what I mean.

When really, what I mean is "work" as alluded to in this poem by Kahil Gibran:

Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those who work with joy.
